Josephine Drew, MD
Dr. Josephine Drew received her Medical Degree from the University of Hawaii-John A. Burns School of Medicine. Born in Ilwaco, Washington she moved to Hawaii at age 4 and considers herself an “island girl” at heart. She completed her residency and internship at University of Washington-Family Medicine of Southwest Washington in 1998. She continued to practice in Clark County as part of the residency faculty till 2001. Dr. Drew holds Board Certification with the American Board of Family Practice and the American Board of Integrative and Holistic Medicine. Dr. Drew began her career in healthcare as a registered nurse in pediatric oncology working at Kapiolani Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii and additionally completed undergraduate studies in psychology.
Her special interests include women’s healthcare, integrative medicine, and acupuncture. She has been part of the Providence Family Medicine Milwaukie faculty since 2001 where she was actively involved in teaching family practice residents. She has held faculty appointments with the University of Washington and currently is Affiliate Assistant Professor with the Department of Family Medicine Oregon Health Science University.
When not in the office she enjoys organic gardening, yoga, surfing and visiting the ocean with her family. “Being a physician is such a privilege”, she says. “I really enjoy assisting people towards their optimum state of wellness.”
