Kay joined Ridgefield Family Medicine in 2009. She began her career in nursing after obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1989 from Lewis Clark State College in Lewiston, ID. After working as a supervisor and charge nurse overseeing the ICU and Emergency rooms at Gritman Memorial Hospital in Moscow, ID she moved to the Portland area and continued in nursing leadership working in the Emergency department, ICU and PACU at Providence Milwaukie Hospital.

In 1996 she obtained her Master’s in Nursing from Oregon Health Sciences University graduating Suma cum Laude. She has spent the last 13 years delivering exceptional family focused care to diverse populations of patients at Providence Family Medicine Southeast, Corporate Health Northwest and Wexford Health Sources. Kay’s experience is extensive with special skills in electronic medical record utilization and development, patient education, medical student and nurse practitioner teaching. Her clinical areas of interest include asthma, allergies and chronic kidney disease. We feel very lucky to have her join our practice.

In her spare time Kay enjoys biking, reading and flower gardening. Family time is spent with her “wonderful” husband Tim and her two grown daughters. White water rafting is one of her passions and embodies her favorite motto “make like a rubber ducky and go with the flow.”

Kay Fleskes, PA-C retired in the spring of 2018 to spend time with her grandchildren and family.
